Hey Glad you are here! We have been using Slack as a group chat application for a while now and everyone who has taken to using it really likes it. You’ll want to install it on your smartphone. Mobile apps can be downloaded by following these links iOS and Android.

Notifications

The default notification settings for Slack send you everything. You are probably going to want to switch to the recommended settings, which are for mentions and direct messages. You can also tweak these settings further, like setting specific “highlight” words and email preferences (getting fancy!). Here’s another resource you may find more specific than the general help info linked to above Slack article in rudderpost.

Native Desktop and Mobile Apps

Slack has a great, fully-featured web app, native Mac and Windows apps, and iOS and Android apps. Preferences, conversations, and what you’ve read are synced across devices. Push notifications on the go are pretty cool, too.
